  • Five stars, no question. The food here is in a class of its own! Absolutely flawless execution of dishes and service. From the moment we walked in, TMW exceeded every expectation. Everything about this restaurant radiates excellence — from the stunning design to the warm welcome and impeccable service. Each dish is a beautiful reinterpretation of Indian flavors, elevated with Japanese ingredients and delicate technique. The dishes are perfectly executed, from texture to flavor profile and presentation. The use of Japanese ingredients pair extremely well with Indian spices -chef is seriously a genius. It infuses traditional indian spices with modern Japanese hints, to create its own unique style, presented to you in fabulous dishes. The food here was like nothing I’ve ever tasted, props to the chef. The chef is seriously talented—each dish was like a work of art with bold, unique flavors blending Japanese and Indian influences in the coolest way. No dish misses and the integration of Japanese ingredients just works so well. An amazing culinary mix of ingredients that blew our minds! Their attention to detail and storytelling elevated the entire experience, making us feel both pampered and immersed in a culinary journey. Each dish was a thoughtful fusion of tradition and innovation. This is very much worth a visit especially if you’re looking for some flavours you won’t find in all the other restaurants in Surrey. I cannot emphasize enough the amazingly creative blend of Indian and Japanese cuisines. To say the service was excellent is an understatement. Their hospitality was on another level: attentive, thoughtful, and so genuinely warm you’d think they were hosting you at their own home. You know that feeling when someone anticipates what you need before you even say it? Yeah. That. Every interaction felt warm, refined, and perfectly attuned to the needs of the table — a rare combination that speaks volumes about their dedication to guest satisfaction. We were truly touched by the incredible experience and hospitality we received. They truly deserve all the love for their hard work! I got to try their box of mithai (16 Pcs Mithai Assortment Taste of TMW). It’s not your usual box of sweets! It’s a box packed with every mithai you could dream of! Every flavour, every texture, every taste in one box! It’s the perfect gift this festive season! It’s meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients and beautifully packaged! The croquettes were devoured in seconds! It’s impossible to eat just one! I was blown away by the Paan Falooda! It was such a show-stopping creation! It’s an explosion of taste! Their mocktail (passionfruit chill) was so eyecatching, it’s as tasty as it is pretty! The lettuce wraps weren’t just a dish, they were a whole vibe! Want something that brings the heat? Then the Daal Makhni has got your back!! And you guys omg their Mixed Veg curry is out of this world! And the garlic naan steals the spotlight everytime! And this is also the best place to book Christmas afternoon tea! So come taste the twist that you didn’t know you needed! So if you’re hunting for a spot where flavour meets finesse, and service makes you feel like a VIP, TMW is your place. I walked in hungry and curious — I left full, impressed, and already planning round two. If you’re looking for a place that delivers exceptional food, high level service, and a luxurious dining experience, TMW is unmatched. Bravo to the team for creating such a memorable dinner!

  • If you want to have good indian deserts. This is the place to do it. Do not be misled by the name as the name is due to the first location being opened in Tokyo. The best gulab jamoon with rabdi and kesar rasmalai. Definitely coming back here.

  • OK- So the ambience of the restaurant is really good. Very spacious and feels grand. Decent layout. Clean restrooms. The food is not that mind blowing or different. It tasted very regular and not of restaurant quality. Presentation was better than others for sure. Service is good. They have very minimal staffing situation.

  • Very Clean restaurant presentation is very nice. I dined in for the prantha, two big pranthas , but they taste ok ok to me as everybody have a different taste. Their gulab jamun with rabdi was good. And the staff is very polite and helpful. Good open parking in the front.

  • The cultural lineage of this place is certainly interesting, since from what I understand, this is the only Canadian location of an Indian restaurant from Japan. The restaurant is beautiful with both Indian and Japanese design sensibilities. They have a table service restaurant with both high tea and an extensive a la carte menu, and it looks like you can also buy mithai in bulk. The food isn't really Japanese-Indian fusion as you might expect, but more like Japanese impression of Indian food, if that makes sense? There's a few hints of Japanese and Asian influence, but the menu is mostly modern Indian. I wanted to try the afternoon tea set to get a wide sampling of their offerings. The set included: corn spinach puff, paneer tikka slider, cream cheese cucumber sandwich, samosa, chutneys for dipping, manchurian skewers, orange cranberry scone with whipped cream, rose rasmalai cake, dodha crunch, motichoor cheesecake parfait, and the choice between masala chai, coffee, or hot/iced caffe latte. It's $32/person for the set, which is a great price. I also appreciated that it was possible to order the set for just one person since it seems like many teahouses will only do it for 2+ people. I thought all of the items in the set were pretty good, and there was a balance between the sweet and savoury items. The only things that really left anything to be desired were that the scone was a bit dry and crumbly, and I thought the tandoori paneer could have been more flavourful. In general the flavours of the savoury items were a bit more subtle than in typical authentic Indian food, but for the most part it didn't come across as bland to me, just a different take on it. The standouts in the set were: the paneer slider - even if the paneer itself didn't impress, I loved the almost flaky texture of the pav - the manchurian, and the rose rasmalai cake. Also, the cream cheese cucumber sandwich had cilantro or chutney or something in the cream cheese which made it much more interesting than the plain version of this sandwich. The masala chai (my chosen drink) was also very good. It was served in a pot that contained 2 small servings. My waiter was very friendly and stopped by a few times to check in. When I was done eating and wanted my bill, it was easy to get his attention. I visited at what seemed like a quiet time so I didn't have much competition for attention. One thing that I thought was odd was when he gave me the machine to pay, there was no tip option - it would be cool if they had a no-tip policy, but I never saw any mention of it, so I wonder if he accidentally bypassed the tip when putting in my charge. It was an interesting and enjoyable experience. I came from Vancouver and it was worth the trip!

  • We visited to enjoy the high tea experience, which coincided with Ladies Time. The high tea selection was generally good—some items stood out more than others. We especially enjoyed the puff, samosa, and sandwich. The paneer burger, however, was just average and could be improved in terms of flavor. The motichoor laddu dessert was delightful, and the scone was fresh and flavorful—not dry at all. The cream served alongside complemented it perfectly. We also tried the pakora fondue. While the fondue was a nice touch, the pakoras were so flavorful on their own that the fondue wasn’t really necessary. The only disappointment was the paan falooda. It tasted more like a typical rose falooda despite the menu description mentioning rose syrup and paan gulkand. The expected paan flavor just didn’t come through. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with good food, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service.
